Taking a walk along any beach you are bound to find some interesting features. But this stump in the sand grabbed my attention. The way the moss had grown over it along and the contrast of the green with the sand made me want to capture it. I am so glad I did as I didn't realise on the day the shapes of the clouds in the background and how their deep blue/grey colour helped the green pop even more.

This stump was part of the historical Cattle Quarantine Jetty that was used for unloading animals from the ships which would then be moved to the Quarantine Station that was dedicated to confining new stock arrivals until they had been declared free of disease.
