This image was taken in Port Douglas looking out over Packers creek at the mountains of the amazing Daintree Rainforest. Port Douglas is a very special place for me as it is where I proposed to my wife. I took this photo on our 15th wedding anniversary holiday. I wasn’t sure if the sunset was going to show or if it would get taken out by the storm that was rolling across in front of me. But the sunset made it out just in time and it shined it’s beautiful final colors before the storm hit.
Looking at this photo reminds me about the seasons of life and that there can be some beautiful moments but just around the corner storms can come out of nowhere. So I say savor and enjoy the beautiful moments more than you ever have and don’t take them for granted.
